Police arrest St. Albans man on warrant after traffic stop

COLCHESTER — Vermont State Police arrested a St. Albans man Wednesday afternoon on an active warrant after conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 89 North.

Police stopped a vehicle for speeding at approximately 2:26 p.m. near mile marker 96.

The driver, identified as 24-year-old Kalob Norris of St. Albans, was found to have an active in-state warrant for failure to appear in court.

The warrant stemmed from two counts of simple assault and one count of unlawful mischief, which had been investigated by the Burlington Police Department.

Norris was issued a citation in accordance with the warrant order.

He is scheduled to appear at Chittenden County Superior Court at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 27.
