Man arrested on DUI, suspended license charges after crash in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE — The Vermont State Police arrested a Winooski man on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving with a criminally suspended license after a crash in Cambridge on Feb. 24.

Troopers responded to a crash at 1921 Hogback Road at approximately 5:12 p.m. and identified the driver as Tobias J. Dodge, 23, of Winooski.

A records check revealed Dodge’s license was criminally suspended in Vermont.

Troopers observed signs of impairment while speaking with Dodge.

He underwent standardized field sobriety tests, refused a preliminary breath test and was placed under arrest.

Dodge was transported to the Morrisville Police Department for processing.

He was later released with a citation to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on March 5 at 12:30 p.m.

Dodge was also issued a traffic ticket for unreasonable and imprudent speed when special hazards exist, carrying a fine of $220 and two points on his record.
