Lyndonville police arrest two on outstanding warrants, false information charges

LYNDONVILLE — Two Vermont residents were arrested on January 22 after a traffic stop led to the discovery of outstanding warrants and false information provided to police officers.

At approximately 3:54 p.m., Officer Renaudette of the Lyndonville Police Department stopped a vehicle on the intersection of Center St and King Street for a violation.

During the stop, Renaudette identified a front seat passenger, Kelly Beaudette, 44, of Newport, who had two active arrest warrants from Orleans County Superior Court.

Beaudette was taken into custody without incident.

Meanwhile, a back seat passenger, Jessica Prue, 43, of Sheffield, was found to have provided false information regarding her identity.

Further investigation revealed that Prue was wanted on a warrant from Orleans County Superior Court for retail theft.

Officer Gerrish arrested Prue, who was processed at the Lyndonville Police Department.

She was released on a flash citation to appear at the Orleans County Superior Court for the retail theft warrant on January 23 at 12:30 p.m. Additionally, Prue received a citation for arraignment at the Caledonia Superior Court on March 10 at 8:30 a.m. for the false information charge.

Beaudette was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility in lieu of $400 cash or surety bond.
