Two arrested in Salem mall parking lot stabbing

SALEM — Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred at the Mall at Rockingham Park parking lot last Thursday, according to the Salem Police Department.

Following an extensive investigation that included multiple interviews, execution of search warrants, and collection of physical evidence, Salem detectives made the arrests.

On Monday, a 14-year-old male was taken into custody facing charges of first-degree assault, armed robbery, attempted murder, and reckless conduct with a deadly weapon.

Today, 18-year-old Ronald Joseph Marino III of Manchester was arrested on charges of attempted first-degree murder during a robbery, first-degree assault with serious bodily injury, armed robbery, all classified as Felony A, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Misdemeanor A.

Marino is being held without bail and is scheduled for arraignment before the Salem District Court on Thursday, Jan. 2.
