Rangers shine at People’s Academy meet

MORRISTOWN— The Rangers had a standout performance at the cross-country meet at People’s Academy on Wednesday, with all five girls achieving new personal records (PRs) and the boys team delivering a solid effort.

Charlie Edlund led the way for the girls, finishing in 22nd place, followed closely by Nora Demaine in 24th. Nell Urie, Ivy Arant, and Bella Hanover rounded out the team’s strong showing, helping the girls secure a 5th place finish.

The boys team was led by Xaviar Chapdelaine, who claimed 13th place.

A tight pack of Rangers followed, with Josiah Quinn, Gavyn Letzelter, and Eli Davis taking the 30th through 32nd spots. Isaac Heinchon achieved a PR to finish in 34th place, while Max Demaine overcame an injury to place 39th.

Their efforts earned the boys team a 5th place finish as well. The Rangers will host their home meet, the LR Relays, next Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 4:30 p.m.
