Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run on Queen Street

BOSCAWEN — A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle on Queen Street Tuesday night, prompting an urgent search by local authorities for the driver who fled the scene.

The Boscawen Police Department responded to the incident at about 8:55 p.m., where they found the injured pedestrian.

Officers collected debris from the suspect’s vehicle and have released a photo of a dark-colored sedan with a tail light out, believed to be involved in the crash.

Investigators are urging residents on Queen Street with surveillance systems to review footage from 8:50 p.m. to 9:05 p.m. for any sightings of the vehicle.

Corporal Elizabeth Murray is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with information, or who may have witnessed the collision, to come forward.
