Man arrested for violating release conditions in Brattleboro

BRATTLEBORO — A New Hampshire man was arrested Thursday night for allegedly violating conditions of his court-ordered release, according to local law enforcement officials.

The Windham County Sheriff’s Office stated that Steven R.

Holway, 30, of Hinsdale, New Hampshire, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Wilsons Woods Rd around 9:10 p.m. Deputy Ian Tuttle and Detective Sergeant Mario Checchi were conducting a highway safety check funded by a Governor’s Highway Safety grant when they encountered Holway.

Upon further investigation, officers determined that Holway was not complying with the terms set by the court.

He was taken into custody without incident and brought to the sheriff’s office for processing.

Holway is expected to face charges for violating his conditions of release.

He has been issued a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on June 4.

No bail has been set for his release pending the court appearance.
