Manchester collision leaves moped rider with life-threatening injuries

MANCHESTER — A motor vehicle collision late Saturday night has left a moped rider with serious life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The Manchester Police Department reported that officers responded to a call at 120 Slater St. around 10:07 p.m. following reports of a crash involving a car and a moped.

A 20-year-old male from Manchester was driving the vehicle that collided with the moped, operated by a 30-year-old male from South Windsor.

The moped rider was transported to a local trauma hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
