Driver arrested for DUI after crash on Interstate 91 in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — Vermont State Police arrested a 50-year-old White River Junction man on suspicion of driving under the influence after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 on May 26.

Jorge Correa-Lopez was taken into custody after officers responded to a 911 call at about 3:21 p.m. reporting the incident.

The investigation at the scene led police to believe Correa-Lopez was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Following the arrest, Correa-Lopez was released with a criminal citation.

He is expected to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on June 25 at 8:00 a.m. to respond to the DUI charge.
