Vermont State Police investigate reported child abduction in Enosburg Falls park

ENOSBURG FALLS — Vermont State Police from the St. Albans Field Station responded to a reported child abduction at Lincoln Park on Main Street in Enosburg Falls yeasterday at 4:17 p.m.

The call came in after a reported incident that was said to have occurred around 3 p.m., coinciding with the time local schools dismissed students for the day.

Troopers immediately launched an investigation, working closely with school officials, conducting interviews with individuals near the area at the time of the alleged abduction, and reviewing surveillance footage from around the park.

After a thorough search, Vermont State Police found no evidence to support the initial report of a child abduction.

The investigation remains open, and authorities are seeking assistance from the public.
