Ashby woman found dead, authorities say no threat to public

ASHBY — Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Ashby Chief of Police Derek Pepple confirmed that local police responded to a call about an unresponsive woman at a Richardson Road residence today at approximately 12:55 p.m.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered the 58-year-old woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

While this case is currently under investigation, preliminary information suggests that the death is not considered suspicious, and there is believed to be no ongoing threat to the community.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, and Ashby Police are collaboratively conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
