HANOVER — The Hanover Police Department is seeking charges against a 55-year-old male suspect from the South Shore area in connection with a larceny and threats made at the Target store on Washington St.

On February 23, police responded to the store to take a report of a past larceny.

It was reported that a store employee had confronted a male who had passed all points of sale with an unpaid item.

The suspect threatened to stab the employee if he didn’t get out of his way, motioning toward his jacket as if he had a weapon.

The employee ceased interaction, and the male left the store with the item.

Hanover Police Detectives, assisted by the Marshfield and Plymouth Police Departments, positively identified the suspect using video surveillance provided by the store.
