BROCKTON — Brockton Police have apprehended a second suspect in the January 19 home invasion at 108 Belair Street, officials said Monday.

After a thorough investigation and collection of evidence, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 41-year-old Edilio Agustin-Orellana of Providence last week.

Agustin-Orellana was arrested at his apartment in Providence last Friday with the support of Rhode Island State Police and federal marshals.

This week, Agustin-Orellana appeared before a judge in Brockton and was formally charged with several felony counts, including home invasion, four counts of kidnapping, and four counts of intimidating a witness.

Previously, police had arrested 22-year-old Cesar Sosa of Providence, the driver of the getaway vehicle, shortly after the incident.

Sosa was apprehended with the assistance of Massachusetts State Police and Attleboro Police following a traffic stop on 95 South near Route 123 on the day of the home invasion.

Sosa faces the same charges as Agustin-Orellana.

Both men are currently being held pending a dangerousness hearing.

The Brockton Police Department extended its gratitude to all the partnering agencies that contributed to the advancement of the case.
