Everett police make drug busts, seize fentanyl and cocaine

EVERETT — Two drug-related arrests over the weekend marked the latest efforts by Everett police to combat the local drug trade in the Greater Boston area.

In the initial incident, an undercover operation led to the arrest of an individual after an officer successfully purchased fentanyl.

Police also confiscated additional amounts of alleged fentanyl and “crack” cocaine during the arrest.

The suspect faces charges of distribution of Class A fentanyl, possession of Class B cocaine, and two outstanding warrants.

The second case involved a search warrant executed by the Special Criminal Investigations Unit at a residence in the Metro North Area.

Investigators discovered over 50 grams of alleged cocaine and seized more than $42,000 in cash.

The individual implicated in this investigation was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine.
