CAMBRIDGE — After a months-long investigation, Cambridge Police Department arrested a 57-year-old man Wednesday on drug trafficking charges following the seizure of nearly 90 grams of crack cocaine from a Central Square residence.

Cedric Ingram of Cambridge faces charges of trafficking more than 36 grams of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute, and a drug violation within a school or park zone, authorities said.

The Cambridge Police secured a search warrant for a home in the 800 block of Massachusetts Avenue and executed it at 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 31.

The raid was conducted without incident, and police say the drugs found are indicative of a street-level distribution operation.

The arrest and seizure are the culmination of a collaborative effort between the Criminal Investigation Section and the Family & Social Justice Section of the Cambridge Police, aiming to combat drug activity in the Central Square area.
