Norwell police seek information on overnight vandalism in Jacobs Trail

NORWELL — Officers responded to a report of property damage in the Jacobs Trail neighborhood around 2 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Norwell Police Department.

A resident reported hearing someone outside their home causing damage to their property.

By the time officers arrived, the suspect had fled the scene.

The vandalism included numerous stones removed from a retaining wall, several uprooted plants from the garden, and a political flag sliced in half.

The incident is currently under investigation, and police are asking for the community’s assistance.

Residents in the area who may have witnessed the suspect or have security video footage are urged to contact Officer LaRocco at the Norwell Police Department.
