Multi-vehicle collision in Concord leads to critical injuries

CONCORD — A major vehicular accident occurred on Loudon Road in Concord, NH, on January 12, 2024, just after 11:00 a.m., involving multiple vehicles and resulting in several injuries.

Concord Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene between Fort Eddy Road and Hazen Drive, where preliminary findings suggest that a vehicle traveling west on Loudon Road rear-ended another vehicle at a traffic light at the intersection with Fort Eddy Road.

The collision led to five people being transported to Concord Hospital, with one individual in critical condition.

Due to the accident reconstruction and ongoing investigation, a section of Loudon Road at Fort Eddy Road was closed for several hours, causing significant traffic disruptions.

Motorists were advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes to access the Heights area of Concord and Interstate 93 at exit 14 (North and South).

The Concord Police Department is urging anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to the police to come forward.
