Five injured in multi-vehicle crash on Loudon Road

CONCORD — A multi-vehicle collision on Loudon Road between Fort Eddy Road and Hazen Drive has left five people hospitalized, one in critical condition, after an incident that occurred just after 11 a.m. on Jan. 12.

Concord Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene where preliminary findings suggest a vehicle traveling west on Loudon Road struck another vehicle from behind as it stopped at the traffic light at the Loudon Road and Fort Eddy Road intersection.

The collision caused significant injuries and vehicle damage.

Authorities have closed Loudon Road at the intersection with Fort Eddy Road for several hours to facilitate accident reconstruction and further investigation.

Motorists are advised to anticipate delays in the vicinity and to use alternative routes for accessing the Heights area of Concord and Interstate 93 at exit 14.

The Concord Police Department is urging witnesses who have not yet provided statements to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
