1 min read

CONCORD — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is actively seeking assistance from the public in locating fugitive Chad James Dandeneau, who has a history of weapon possession and violence.

Dandeneau, who was placed on probation in January after a conviction of Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, has since violated his probation terms and is facing new criminal charges.

Authorities report that he absconded from pretrial services, which led to a warrant being issued for his arrest on Oct. 4.

Adding to the urgency, Maine Probation authorities also issued a warrant for Dandeneau’s arrest on Dec. 21, after he absconded from their oversight as well.

His criminal record includes charges for Possession of Dangerous Weapons, Simple Assault, Domestic Violence Assault, Resisting Arrest, Reckless Conduct, Theft, and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Dandeneau was last known to reside in the Rochester area.

The NHDOC urges anyone with information on Dandeneau’s whereabouts to contact them or the local police department to aid in his apprehension and ensure community safety.

The public is advised not to approach Dandeneau, as he is considered armed and dangerous.
