Cambridge police seek public help to identify assault suspect

CAMBRIDGE — The Cambridge Police Department is reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying an individual linked to a series of assaults in both Cambridge and Boston.

Detectives are investigating a violent incident that occurred on the evening of Jan. 4, where a person wielding a knife attacked two individuals in Porter Square.

The victims of the assault sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the police report.

Authorities have released photos of the person of interest in hopes that members of the public can provide information leading to their identification.
