Malden police investigate gunshots on Prentiss Street, no injuries reported

MALDEN — Malden Police Patrol Officers responded to reports of gunshots on Prentiss St at around 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 24.

Upon arrival, officers conducted a preliminary investigation and for safety, the Special Operations Unit was called to perform a protective sweep of the residence in question.

The home was found to be secure with no one injured on the premises.

Detectives were then called to the scene and gathered physical evidence that confirmed shots had been fired.

Several individuals were interviewed as part of the investigation.

As of now, police have not located any victims with injuries related to the incident, nor have they made any arrests.

The investigation is still active.
