FAIRFIELD — A Fairfield man was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a criminally suspended license after a single-vehicle crash on Route 36 near Ryan Rd.

Vermont State Police responded to the incident on Dec. 23 at approximately 11:05 p.m.

The vehicle involved had sustained significant damage, and evidence at the scene suggested the driver may have been injured before fleeing.

The following day, at around 4:45 p.m., police located and identified the driver as 31-year-old Derek Jettie of Fairfield.

Jettie, who had minor injuries from the crash, was found to have a suspended driver’s license.

Jettie is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on Jan. 30 to face charges related to the incident.
