Brattleboro area credit card theft, suspect sought

BRATTLEBORO — Vermont State Police are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a series of larcenies using a stolen credit card in the Brattleboro area.

The incidents occurred on September 23, 2023, at various retail locations

The victim, 45-year-old William Rose of Putney, reported unauthorized use of his credit card at several stores in Brattleboro.

Photos of the suspect, captured while using the stolen credit card at Market 32 in Brattleboro, have been released by the authorities.

The identity and residence of the accused remain unknown. Vermont State Police urge anyone with information about the suspect or the incidents to contact Trooper Alibozek at the Westminster Barracks at 802-722-4600.

The investigation is ongoing, and the state police hope that public input will aid in identifying and apprehending the suspect.
