Concord attorney general probes fatal Manchester shooting

CONCORD — Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg announced today that their teams are investigating the suspicious death of an adult male who was fatally shot early this morning near 61 Lowell Street in Manchester.

Manchester Police officers initially responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area at about 1:12 a.m. Less than an hour later, at approximately 2:02 a.m., they returned to the scene following reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, they found the victim with apparent gunshot wounds.

The injured man was promptly transported to Elliott Hospital, where he died from his injuries hours later.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are piecing together the events that transpired between the reported accident and the subsequent shooting.

Although the investigation is active, officials have indicated there is no apparent danger to the community related to this incident.

The Attorney General’s Office and the Manchester Police Department are working closely to gather information about the individuals involved and the chronological events leading up to the fatal shooting.

They assure that further details will be shared with the public as they become available, ensuring the ongoing investigation remains uncompromised.
