Two-vehicle crash in Sharon results in substantial damage

SHARON –– A two-vehicle collision on Monday morning left both cars with substantial damage but resulted in no injuries, according to the Vermont State Police.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:55 a.m. near the intersection of VT Route 14 and River Road.

Raymond J. Bullard, 77, of Sharon, was driving a 2015 Jeep Renegade northbound on VT Route 14 and attempted a left turn onto River Road.

At the same time, Shelley F. Kendall, 51, also of Sharon, was driving a 2020 Ford Edge southbound through the intersection.

The vehicles collided, causing substantial damage to the Jeep’s rear end passenger’s side quarter panel and the Ford’s front passenger side quarter panel.

Both drivers, Bullard, who was not wearing a seatbelt, and Kendall, who was, did not sustain injuries in the crash.

Troopers from the Royalton Barracks responded to the scene and found both vehicles parked in a nearby pull-off area.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing, but clear weather and dry road conditions were reported at the time of the incident.

Neither vehicle operator required medical attention following the collision.
