COLCHESTER –– A single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 89 left a Colchester man with serious injuries late Sunday night.

Vermont State Police reported that at 10:57 p.m., they responded to the accident near mile marker 98 on Interstate 89 southbound.

The driver, identified as Keagan Horton, 27, was found in his 2022 Subaru Outback in the left-hand shoulder of the highway.

According to authorities, Horton was traveling south when his vehicle swerved into the median, rolling multiple times before coming to rest in the left-hand shoulder.

Horton was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, which may have prevented more severe injuries.

The southbound lanes of the Interstate were temporarily narrowed to one lane as first responders attended to the scene.

Assistance was provided by the Milton Fire Department, Colchester Fire Department, Milton Rescue, and Colchester Rescue.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Police have not released any further details at this time.
