DUI charges following vehicle reported in Brattleboro

BRATTLEBORO — A 47-year-old man from New Hampshire was arrested for DUI following an incident in Brattleboro today.

Authorities say they were notified of a vehicle traveling north in the southbound lane on I-91 at around 2:15 p.m.

Police say they responded to the area and discovered the vehicle at a nearby establishment on Putney Road.

Troopers made contact with the driver, identified as Jeremy Roy, of Winchester, New Hampshire.

While speaking with Roy, police say they observed indicators of impairment.

Police say that Roy had been operating a motor vehicle on a public highway while under the influence of alcohol.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police – Westminster barracks for processing.

He was cited to appear in court on November 21 to answer the charge of DUI.

He was released to a sober adult.

Police say the case remains under investigation
