Man arrested as fugitive from justice in Westminster

WESTMINSTER –– A Claremont, New Hampshire man was arrested on the Interstate 91 Access Road in Westminster yesterday on charges of being a fugitive from justice.

Windham County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop around 9:15 p.m.

During the stop, the officers discovered that the driver, 22-year-old Jonathan D. Ariola, had an active warrant out for his arrest issued by the State of New Hampshire.

Detective Sergeant M. Checchi, Deputy T. Raymond, and Deputy D. Gaillardetz were the investigating officers on the scene.

Ariola was processed at the Bellows Falls Police Department and was subsequently ordered held on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.

The conditions of his bond were not immediately released.

Ariola is currently being held at the Southern State Correctional Facility. His case is ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
