Wrong-way driver arrested on multiple charges in Concord

CONCORD –– A 25-year-old man was arrested early Monday morning after he was reported driving the wrong way on Interstate 93, according to State Police.

Randolph P. Griffin Jr. of Tilton was apprehended by Sergeant Mark Barrett at around 2:53 a.m. at mile marker 42 in Concord.

The arrest followed multiple reports of a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-93 at mile marker 48 in Canterbury.

Upon stopping Griffin, Barrett conducted a roadside investigation with assistance from Trooper Kelsey Scott.

The investigation led to Griffin’s arrest for multiple charges including reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, driving while intoxicated, operating without a valid license and breach of bail.

Following his arrest, Griffin was transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections.

He is scheduled to appear in the Merrimack Superior Court on Tuesday, September 25, at 1:00 p.m.
