Teen arrested for DWI, reckless driving in Concord

CONCORD –– A 19-year-old man was arrested for aggravated DWI and reckless driving on Interstate 93 on September 19, according to law enforcement officials.

Trooper Zachary Bilotta was monitoring traffic on the highway around 10:00 p.m. when he noticed a vehicle traveling northward at an excessively high speed.

He recorded the vehicle’s speed at 136 mph using his cruiser’s mounted radar.

The driver, subsequently identified as Concord resident Tyler J. Gay, was stopped a short time later.

Bilotta noted signs of impairment and conducted a roadside DWI investigation, at the conclusion of which Gay was arrested.

Gay was charged with Aggravated Driving While Under the Influence and Reckless Operation, and was transported to the Troop D Barracks in Concord.

He was later released.
