Single-vehicle crash claims life of New Hampshire man

MILTON –– A fatal single-vehicle accident occurred early morning on September 14, causing the death of a 55-year-old man identified as Michael Riley of Sanbornville, New Hampshire.

The crash, which involved a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500, occurred approximately at 1:34 a.m. along the Spaulding Turnpike Exit 18 Northbound on-ramp.

The vehicle was reportedly driving the wrong way along the on-ramp towards the highway.

The New Hampshire State Police Troop A Barracks, along with the Milton and Wakefield Fire Departments, responded to the incident.

Upon their arrival, they found that the white truck had left the roadway, continued down an embankment, and finally rested within the woods, approximately 300 feet from the roadway.

The driver, Michael Riley, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities confirmed that there were no passengers in the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

However, initial reports suggest that a medical emergency may have contributed to the incident.
