Pedestrian hit by car on US Route 7 in Ferrisburgh

FERRISBURGH — A pedestrian was hit by a car in Ferrisburgh yesterday.

The incident took place on US Route 7 at around 10:40 p.m.

According to the report, a pedestrian was attempting to remove a deceased animal from the road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling north.

The pedestrian was later identified as Neil Abrahamson, 36, of Vergennes.

Abrahamson sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to UVM Medical Center to receive treatment.

State Police were assisted on the scene by members of the Ferrisburgh Fire Department.
