Single-vehicle rollover on I-89 in Colchester

COLCHESTER — An 18-year-old woman from Milton escaped injury after a single-vehicle rollover accident on I-89 South near mile marker 93.4 in Colchester.

The incident took place around 8:35 a.m. this morning.

According to Vermont State Police, she was driving her 2004 Subaru Forester in the passing lane when she realized she was veering out of her lane towards the guardrail.

Upon over-correcting, she crossed into the traveling lane, subsequently causing her vehicle to swerve into a ditch and roll over several times.

Despite the severity of the accident and the resulting total damage to her Subaru Forester, the driver sustained no injuries.

Troopers on the scene observed no signs of impairment. Rick’s Towing removed the totaled vehicle from the scene.

The Colchester Fire Department also assisted Vermont State Police at the accident site.
