CAMPTON — Police say arrests have been made regarding the recent wave of mail theft in the surrounding area.
As of today, the suspects have been identified and a search warrant has been executed, resulting in the recovery of several stolen items.
Charges for the suspects are pending, and the United States Postal Service has been made aware of the investigation.
The investigation began on March 6.
The suspects were found to have stolen items from mailboxes in several towns, including Holderness, Thornton, Campton, and Bristol.
The police have recovered several of the stolen items and the suspects are awaiting charges.
Residents of the affected towns should also take steps to protect their mail, such as using locked mailboxes or picking up mail promptly after delivery.
