Suspect arrested in Dorchester high school stabbing

BOSTON — Boston Police have arrested an 18-year-old suspect following a stabbing incident at a Dorchester high school on Wednesday.

At 12:25 p.m., officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call at 9 Peacevale Road, where they found a male victim with multiple stab wounds.

Boston Emergency Medical Services were already on the scene, providing treatment.

School staff informed the officers that the suspect, identified as Paul Joseph of Dorchester, had been isolated in a separate room.

Officers apprehended Joseph, discovering a knife in the library that is believed to be related to the incident.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

Joseph has been charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, specifically a knife.

He is scheduled for arraignment in Dorchester District Court.
