2 teens busted with guns, drugs in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD — Two juvenile males were arrested in Pittsfield yesterday.

Police say they arrested the two juvenile males in the area of the Berkshire Medical Center’s parking lot at the corner of Wahconah Street and North Street.

While in the area of Park Street, police say they observed a juvenile that had been reported as missing, in addition to having an outstanding arrest warrant.

That juvenile entered a grey Nissan Altima being driven by another juvenile man.

Both juveniles are known to members of the Pittsfield Police Department.

After a short vehicle pursuit, both exited the grey Nissan and fled on foot.

Police say they then engaged in a short foot pursuit, locating the two juveniles within a short distance to the Nissan.

After further investigation, officers located two loaded handguns, large amounts of heroin and crack cocaine.

The two juveniles will be arraigned today at the Berkshire County Juvenile Court.

They are being charged as follows:

Possession of Class A Substance (Heroin) with the intent to distribute

Possession of Class B Substance (Cocaine) with the intent to distribute

Possession of Firearm in Commission of Felony

Carrying a Firearm without a license

Carrying a loaded Firearm without a License

Improper Storage of a Firearm

Possession of Ammunition without FID
