Berlin man killed during crash in Errol

ERROL — A 51-year-old man from Berlin was killed during a single-vehicle crash in Errol yesterday.

The crash took place on Route 16, approximately two miles from the Route 26 and Route 16 intersection.

According to the report, the vehicle was traveling south and lost control crossing the center line and into the northbound lane.

The vehicle went into the Androscoggin River where the driver needed to be extricated.

The driver, identified as James Novick, was transported to the local hospital and was later pronounced deceased.

Police are still investigating the cause of the collision.
