DERBY — A 43-year-old man from Newport has died due to injuries sustained during a motorcycle crash in Derby last month.
The crash took place on Beebe Road at around 1:00 a.m.
Police identified the driver as Brian Mercer.
Mercer had driven off the road when traveling north.
He was transported by helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.
Mercer passed away on July 19 at Dartmouth Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit.
