Man arrested following explosives investigation in Wilder

WILDER — Police arrested a 51-year-old man in Wilder on Wednesday after explosive devices were found at a home on Perkins Place.

William Hillard is being held on a federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The VSP bomb squad removed the explosives, and no one was injured.

Throughout the day, the Hartford Police Department was aided in the investigation by the Vermont State Police, the FBI, and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
