Police: Derby Man facing multiple charges

DERBY — A 44-year-old man is facing charges following an incident in Derby yesterday.

Authorities were notified of a domestic disturbance at the Border Motel at around 12:15 p.m.

Following an investigation, police allege Joseph Maynard, of Derby, assaulted a family member.

Police say Maynard resisted arrest when troopers attempted to take him into custody.

He was later transported to the Vermont State Police Derby barracks.

He was lodged with conditions and given a citation to appear in court to answer to the charges of 2nd degree aggravated domestic assault, resisting arrest, and lewd and lascivious conduct.
