Driver facing charges after clocked doing 101 mph in Williamstown

WILLIAMSTOWN — A 57-year-old man from Massachusetts was arrested following an incident in Williamstown on Friday.

Police say they were patrolling Interstate 89 at around 6:15 p.m. when they witnessed a vehicle traveling in excess of the speed limit. 

According to the report, the vehicle was clocked at 101 miles-per-hour in a 65 miles-per-hour zone. 

The driver, identified as Daniel O’Donnell, of Halifax MA, was charged with negligent operation and excessive speed. 

He was released with a criminal citation and was ordered to appear in court on December 15.
