TWIN MOUNTAIN — Twin Mountain Fire Rescue responded this morning to a tractor-trailer fire on Route 115.
The driver noticed smoke coming from the trailer tires and pulled over in an area with no nearby structures, deploying two fire extinguishers.
The fire was initially extinguished but quickly reignited and became out of control.
Due to limited crew availability, Twin Mountain requested mutual aid from Jefferson Fire Department.
With assistance from Carroll Police Department and Jefferson Fire, Twin Mountain Engine 3 was able to extinguish the fire.
Jefferson crews assisted with overhaul operations before being released from the scene.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
