JAMESTOWN, PA — Firefighters from multiple departments battled a large house fire on Ray Road on Thursday afternoon.
The North Shenango Fire Department was dispatched at 12:09 p.m. to assist Station 89 with a reported house fire, with initial reports indicating fire through the roof.
Quint 17-9 responded with a crew and arrived to find a large two-story residence heavily involved, with the roof already burned off and fire extending throughout the upper floor.
The crew from North Shenango assisted with fire attack, working alongside initial arriving companies to help bring the fire under control.
Firefighters operated in challenging conditions, focusing on knocking down the main body of fire and stopping further extension throughout the structure.
Crews remained on scene for several hours, working together with multiple departments to contain the incident and assist with overhaul operations.
