WILLIAMSON, NY — A 24-year-old man was arrested March 17, 2026, following an investigation into child sexual abuse material.
Ryan J. Bailey, of Williamson, was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony, and six counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, class E felonies.
The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a CyberTipline report indicating a social media account was involved in uploading suspected child sexual abuse material.
The New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Bureau of Criminal Investigation executed search warrants and conducted forensic analysis of electronic devices.
Investigators determined Bailey possessed and promoted multiple files containing child sexual abuse material and identified communications in which he distributed such material to others via online platforms.
A search warrant was executed at Bailey’s residence in Williamson on Oct. 17, 2024, where multiple electronic devices were seized.
The New York State Police Computer Forensic Laboratory analyzed the devices and found numerous images and videos depicting the sexual exploitation of minors, as well as evidence of online communications consistent with the promotion of such material.
Bailey was processed at State Police Williamson and transported to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment.
The investigation was conducted by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in conjunction with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, with assistance from the Troop E Computer Crimes Unit and the Computer Forensic Laboratory.
