ALBANY, NY — A 15-year-old boy was shot in the chin Wednesday evening on Morris Street near Ontario Street.
Officers responded to the 500 block of Morris Street around 8:55 p.m. March 18, 2026, for reports of an individual shot.
Upon arrival, officers located the teenage victim with a gunshot wound to his chin.
The victim was treated on scene by the Albany Fire Department and Emergency Medical Personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
Through further investigation, it has been determined that the suspect, who is known to the victim, shot the victim in an alleyway on the 500 block of Morris Street before fleeing on foot.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
