Two arrested on cocaine trafficking charges in Freetown

FREETOWN, MA — The Freetown Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Chace Road on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of suspected cocaine and two arrests.

Officers conducted the search at approximately 1:43 p.m. as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected drug activity.

Matthew Clark, 32, of Freetown, was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine, 200 grams or more.

Brandon DeMoranville, 39, of Freetown, was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine, 200 grams or more, and destruction of evidence.

Both individuals were transported to the Bristol County House of Correction following their arrests.

Bail was set at $25,000 for Clark and $50,000 for DeMoranville.

Both are scheduled to be arraigned in Fall River District Court on Thursday.

The Freetown Police Department was assisted by the Lakeville Police Department and the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit.
