JAMESTOWN, NY — Police arrested a man March 18, 2026, after he allegedly burglarized a southside business overnight.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Allen Street and Foote Avenue around 11:12 a.m. for a report of a male matching the description of a suspect from the burglary complaint.
The male had fled the scene prior to officers arriving, but reappeared as officers were speaking with the business owner.
Officers pursued the male, who was taken into custody without incident.
The male was identified as Timothy W. Ellis, 58, of Jamestown.
Ellis was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny.
He is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
