Man arrested on drug charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — Narcotics investigators executed a search warrant Tuesday that led to the arrest of a man wanted on a parole warrant.

Investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Jamestown Police Department executed the search warrant at 313 Prather St. upper apartment on March 17.

Devonte Green was observed leaving the residence in a vehicle just prior to the search warrant being executed.

Jamestown Police Department attempted to conduct a vehicle stop on Green.

Green continued for a short distance in the vehicle before he was placed in custody after a short foot pursuit.

Investigators seized 2.3 grams of fentanyl, 4.7 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and $131 in U.S. currency as a result of the search of the residence, the vehicle and Green’s person.

Green was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree, resisting arrest and numerous vehicle and traffic violations.

Green was transported to the Jamestown Police Department and will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.
