Man arrested on assault charge in Stuyvesant

STUYVESANT, NY — New York State Police have arrested a Schodack man on assault and child endangerment charges.

Brian M. Maguire, 26, of Schodack, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree assault, both class A misdemeanors.

The charges followed an investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Livingston.

Troopers responded March 11, 2026, to a report that a 16-year-old had been struck in the face at a private residence in Stuyvesant.

Maguire was arrested March 11, 2026, and issued an appearance ticket.

He is scheduled to appear in Stuyvesant Town Court on March 18, 2026, at 6 p.m.
