Shots fired at residence in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — Police are investigating a shooting at a residence on March 12, 2026.

Officers responded to the area of Crescent Street and Buffalo Street at about 1:24 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

Police said a suspect armed with a firearm forcibly entered an occupied residence.

The suspect fled the residence and fired the weapon while leaving, striking the side of the home, according to police.

The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Police determined the shooting was a targeted attack on the occupants of the home.

The investigation is ongoing.
